iNSight Payment Gateway

Pay Anything, Anywhere!

The iNSight Payment Gateway (iPG) is a highly secure and scalable interconnected payment gateway that connects an operator’s core payment system with external service providers such as utility companies, retailer and banks. It features a highly configurable integrated communication layer that provides seamless and secure communication using open API’s.

The digital nature of mobile money enables users to conveniently purchase a range of products and services directly from their mobile devices with the integrated C2B functionality of the iNSight Payment Gateway.

These include:

  • Utilities (water services / prepaid electricity / gas)
  • TV Subscriptions (DSTV / Canal+ / Startimes / Showmax / BlueSat etc.)
  • Airtime bundles and/or voucher purchases
  • Mobile Money bundle purchases
  • Savings and Micro Lending
  • International Money Remittance
  • Transfer to Banks
  • Interoperability between operators
  • Educational institutions
  • Event Ticketing
  • And much more….

B2C first became a buzz word during the dotcom boom of the late 1990s when it was mainly used to refer to online retailers who sold products and services to consumers through the internet. Today that definition has evolved to also incorporate transactions that flow from a business to a consumer.
Across Africa, our B2C clients are leveraging the powerful features of the iNSight Payment Gateway to perform the following transaction types:

  • Salary Payments
  • Salary in Advance
  • Transfer from Bank to Customer
  • ATM Integration for Withdrawals and Deposits
  • Point of Sale (POS) integration via web channel or USSD Push
  • Lay-by Management
  • Insurance Claim Settlements
  • Community Building Projects
  • And much more…
Despite being slow to adopt ecommerce, B2B brands are increasingly looking at digital means to boost sales. This shift is driven by the changing B2B buyer demographic. The broad adoption of mobile money across Africa means mobile money is no longer nebulous for B2B, but instead it has become a driving force. Merchants need to take advantage of this growing opportunity, or risk being left behind.

Merchants across Africa are integrating their point-of-sales infrastructure with mobile money operators to provide users with a convenient way to pay for their purchases. By inference, these merchants will increasingly look to buy from suppliers who also accept mobile money when stock is acquired.

Our customers are leveraging the power and versatility of the iNSight Payment Gateway to enable B2B integration. Here are only a few examples of how iNSight Payment Gateway are used to enable B2B integration:

  • Automatic float allocations based on bank deposits.
  • Payment Interoperability between banks and operators.
  • Foreign Exchange buying and selling and currency conversions.
  • Merchant Lending for float management.
